Police, the National Guard, and even far-right members of the fascist organisation “Russian Community” have been deployed to man gas stations.
The authorities are trying to cope with the situation, but the population hasn't seen any positive progress yet – oil refineries are being attacked too frequently, and they simply aren't being repaired fast enough. Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties, and their number is growing.
Rumors are circulating in society about a possible new wave of mobilization for the front this fall, after the State Duma elections on September 20.
Ongoing internet restrictions and the blocking of social media, messaging apps, and entire platforms are also significantly affecting public sentiment. Putin's and his United Russia party's approval ratings are declining.
We call on all honest international socialists in the country to remain steadfast and prepare for possible future events. We need to close ranks even more closely in the fight for democracy and socialism. FROM
