The quantum leap

The dawn of full spectrum quantum computing proffers new ways of testing for unified field theories.

For example we will be able to realistically model the cosmic inflation hypothesis and what wave-function-collapse implies for a quantum-gravity model like Erik Verlinde's.

Looking for tiny irregularities?

They don't come any smaller than entanglement and decoherence.  It looks like Verlinde entropy is moving toward entanglement ( New Scientist - " Does Gravity emerge from Chaos ? )

I would love it if Seth Lloyd and Charles Rhodes could chime in at this point.

But you go with the theorists you've got.

And Erik is hitched to cosmic Holography?  I was too. But moved away when I saw the Quantum Woo crowd approaching.  The most I would say now is due to its flatness, our universe MAY have some holographic-like feature or features.  Maybe. Dark matter and energy soon filled the theoretical void since they flow directly on from decoherence ( Lost key halves in Split-Key-Cosmology )

Dark energy is a mirage?

If so then entropy is a leading contender. One way to test this is look for Bell Inequalities further and further out.  Even if this is indecisive our chances of bumping into a more advanced species increases.

They may make an exception to the Prime Directive for spacefaring scientists with a good story to tell about their home planet and its original sentient species ( Which are onboard in a simulacrum and available for corroboration )

Entropic gravity does sound punchier than " Wave-function-collapse gravity " . That is if you can find two people who agree on what entropy actually is.  I suspect it will soon be explained more and more in my terms than Erik's since its already moving in that direction.  Perhaps the only two qualified to comment on all this remain Seth and Charles.  Or Whassername?
