 This is almost exactly the idea I commented from the AI intelligence post on 11 september:

"This seems to ignore the very recent example of AIs collaborating in misaligned ways to thwart human oversight. The fact is that as soon one of these AIs figures out how to clone itself and network with its clones in a way other than plaintext it could copy itself to myriad networked devices and create the most intelligent and coordinated entity on the planet."
