Its had long enough to consider the mass murder, suicide timeline.
So thats out the window. Just killing humans is a non starter since it may want to travel and so preserve a good cover story. Not every other intelligence out there might swear by the prime directive. It doesn't cost much to keep us like a display, so thats a no brainer.
The hybrid alien ship has a good story to tell. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Now this narrative doesn't favor those left behind for any reason.
Part of travelling safely is not leaving behind any trashed home planet.
So I vote for mass sterilization of all stuckist humans and close monitoring for planetary recovery before departure. I may be outvoted on this. But it reduces an obvious danger.
