Many Friedmans ago I talked up an internet backed-up to a dynamic cloud and kept in constant remailer motion. Even a third " cold wallet " internet in reserve.
The Ramans did things by three. And for such a vital intelligent life support system it seems like a simple basic security precaution.
Despite some minor worries it looks like my idea is coming true!
The fastnet for the machines and our net morphing into the Matrix. The third net in two partitions ,reserved only for dire emergencies.
So what minor worries?
Well I don't like the idea of "quality from quantity." Outside the Big Bang, I need some convincing. Hopefully its just a passing phase. Its certainly not an idea compatible with peaceful space exploration. So we might table that one for now.
Hybrid could also be taking over from brute compute any second - if it hasn't already.
Superpositioning trumping number crunching. We'll know that soon enough.
Quantum enables uploading. The rapture of the Nerds.
Another worry concerns centralization as security hole.
This need not be a big deal by moving data hubs under the MAD umbrella and surrounding them with large robot attack dogs.
Again, its just a phase. A Wittgensteinian ladder. Write once. Read anywhere.
Anything else?
Besides that other thing?
No? Very well. Carry on.
