Socrates was a skeptic of political science in general and democracy in particular.
One of those annoying conventionally contrarian types - like Hitchens and Kirk.
Some of his stupid friends then got mixed up in the rule of the 30 tyrants in Athens.
This incident underlined Socrates collaboration with neo-Platonic fascism - hence his trial.
As an unrepentant fascist imbecile he was EXILED.
I would have voted for his execution myself.
