" . . . an alternative to the current state or the anti tech plan to nationalize the tech companies. But there IS an alternative, which is just to use anti-trust laws to break them up. There is no physical reason that Facebook or Amazon or Google's platforms couldn't be shared by federations of profit and not-for-profit institutions that can check and balance each other and which no one man can be the controlling shareholder.
We are currently stuck between the unbearable hubris of the techbros and the resentment it is generating among the general population, but we don't have to be!
