marginally, but it amounted to nearly 30% of full year 2000 GDP. The magnitude of the measurement problem from AI dwarfs prior measurement issues, we call the work AI does that national accounts can’t currently see Dark Output. Even more of the new output from AI is likely to be invisible as it is clustered in the service sector where national statistics have longstanding issues with capturing productivity growth
