The general consensus on consciousness eludes us - so may we sharpen our focus with science?
What might an anarchist consciousness look like?
Epistemologically Feyerabendian one presumes. Anything and everythings grounds for scientific enquiry. Egalitarian, democratic and inclusive. Godel then gets enlisted to keep order within limits.
Our theory may be correct or complete - but never both. Popperian winnowing and chaffing then rejects quack science and affirms the more promising leads. My own praxis of these ideas leads to enlightened self-interest with the emphasis being on enlightened. Enlightened enough to support utilitarian ways and means such as mutual-aid and group-selection. The altruist gene ( Dawkins )
Anarchist consciousness differs from all those who uphold any metaphysics of religion, and, or, nationalist or ethnic, gender or class identity that valorises patriarchy and hierarchy. Often enough it violently opposes them. And thanks to rising global intelligence anarchists may soon be in a position to end them.
