Cosmology is on the brink of a paradigm shift. Old and new fundamental questions such as the nature of the dark fields, the Hubble tension, the old cosmological constant problem, among others, are compelling scientists to reexamine the theoretical cornerstones of the field such as the cosmological principle and general relativity itself in light of cosmological data. This urges cosmologists to keep an open mind to the multitude of theories that may potentially shed light on the aforementioned cosmic puzzles.
On this background, I look out for dark energy models that pick up on irreplaceable features of general relativity such as gravitational waves all while showcasing novel, testable astrophysical and cosmological predictions. These models collectively go by alternative gravity
