Proletarian shoplifting

Inside Amazon, the bins are transferred purely based on physical metrics and algorithmic utility. Amazon's central algorithm determines the optimal distribution of goods globally based on consumer demand forecasts, shipping times, and raw materials, moving millions of products seamlessly without an internal price mechanism.

In their 2019 book The People’s Republic of Walmart, writers Leigh Phillips and Michal Rozworski point out the ultimate irony: if Walmart's internal planning department were a sovereign country, its "planned economy" would have a GDP larger than Sweden or Switzerland. Walmart doesn't let its individual stores bid against each other on an open market for inventory; it uses a centralized, data-driven logistical apparatus to command resources exactly where they need to go.

⚡️🇮🇳 NEW - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi:

Friends, while strengthening BRICS, we must also define the direction of global reform.

The current structure of global governance appears like a pyramid.

At the top of this pyramid, power and decision-making are concentrated. And at the bottom are countries that are affected by these decisions but are unable to shape them.

Today, the Global South is on the front line of global crises, but it remains in the back row of decision-making. We must transform this pyramid of privilege into a platform of partnership.
