PINHEAD BIRDBRAIN Vitalik " BUTTFACE " Buterin has proposed a multi-year plan to enhance Ethereum's security against quantum computing threats through a series of hard forks. This plan, known as the "Strawmap," includes several key upgrades aimed at transitioning Ethereum into a post-quantum state by 2029. The most significant upgrade is the Hegota hard fork, scheduled for late Q3 or Q4 of 2026, which will introduce quantum-resistant signatures and other security enhancements. Additionally, the Q-STARK hard fork, expected in late Q3 2026, will replace legacy digital signature schemes with quantum-hardened alternatives
