On indulgence

 If I may. I hear a lot about how sadly dated the double zero section is today. How quaint.

But what are the odds of some sort of technology being commercialized that can knock drones down easily?

 I know there's been work on electromagnetic pulse weapons. What happens to an air force that has replaced all its expensive missiles and expensive fighters with drones, and then it turns out a Chinese destroyer with some sort of pulse generator on board can knock down a few hundred or a thousand of these things at once? 

A $30,000 drone versus a $1 million interceptor is not a technological constant. It creates an enormous incentive to invent the countertechnology. Like Assassination politics via Secret Service double-zero's

My last census collector was quite a fan of poetry so I will quote a little from Shelly, I believe
