For intellgent conformism to work I submit it should try and connect to the 3 or more thousand year conservationist ideas of democracy and science. No need for superstrict fidelity. Just a touch of inspiration. Maybe seasoned with some utopian garnish.
Such as the hallucinatory notion that democracy should always guide science!
