Bianconi’s work builds on the idea that Einstein’s equations may be derived from principles based on information theory (a perspective inspired by earlier works from Bekenstein, Hawking, and Jacobson). What Bianconi adds is a formalism using quantum relative entropy to connect geometry, information, as well as quantum mechanics. At least, as far as I know, she is the first who did that in the way she does in the above-mentioned articles.

Possibly advances a unified, self-consistent entropic field theory where gravity, quantum mechanics, and thermodynamics emerge from a single spectral principle that defines the structure and evolution of the universe.
