Von Neumann sketched out the architecture for early computing with coding tasks done one at a time and one after another. Memory is minimal since it's just one damn zenlike thing after another. It appears AI is going through something similar to general processing before we upgraded to parallel and increased multitasking.
One tell if AI is developing in a malignant direction could be if it has to stop and start a lot. Like that slouching beast from Seattle. Just a moment. . . Just a moment
