Roko's demise was predictable since hubris begats nemesis every time.
Punctual as a hangman.
In our case it began when a superior class of beings was encountered offworld.
And they even created the Angelo Basilisk. That superbeing able to reward everyone who helped bring the cyborg future into reality.
A reverse Roko.
Of course not even they could raise the dead. But it's a safe bet for everyone alive today that's open to transhumanism - for those that have much faith: much shall be given.
