Weary

 I AM SO WEARY of how willing too many are to ignore the long history of hatred for, and persecution of Jews. Especially now, when  white supremacists and other extremists are successfully leveraging Israel’s bad behavior to inflame antisemitism in yet another generation.

SOME FACTS ARE NEEDED. You don’t have to endorse every action of the Israeli state to understand them:

Jews had and have every reason to seek a secure homeland. It wasn’t just the Holocaust. It was centuries of massacres , religious bigotry and pogroms.

EVERY major call to crusade gave rise to pogroms against Jews. According to Augustine …

And in related news… Mussolini was a Catholic. Dolfuss was Catholic. Franco was Catholic.

Himmler, head of the SS, was a Catholic. The SS was set up on the Jesuit model. Goebbels was Catholic.

Hoss, the camp commandant of Auschwitz, was a Catholic. Frank,‘ the butcher of Poland ’, was Catholic.

The Croatian police-state of Pavelic's  Ustache  was Catholic. Pinochet was a Catholic.

Catholics all hate women's healthcare and have a long criminal history of child rape and assault.

Religious bigotry is not racist. Jews are not an ethnicity. Genocide for Class reasons in Soviet Russia preceded Race rationalized genocide in Nazi Germany. Most of the worst Genocides of the last century were in Marxist-Communist dictatorships.
