Minqi Li has pointed out that it is ecologically impossible for that to happen without a radical restructuring of the world order and great reduction in the living standards of the imperialist world. Marx's quote that "The country that is more developed industrially only shows, to the less developed, the image of its own future" is no longer true. That's my observation, not Li's.
