Match me Sydney

MACHIAVELLI  - to Carl Schmitt, a realist; to Gramsci, a guide for revolutionaries - to Lev Kamevev - both

Evere astute and alert, Sydney Anglo points out a rather glaring problem though.

Despite some seeming slick modernity that still holds up after centuries, a far too great reliance is placed on republican virtue in general and virtue itself in particular.

When a word like that is called on to perform great feats it usually fails.  Like ' Freedom " in Hegel.

The freedom of the ant.  While suggesting vile and underhand tactics to support a virtuous strategy has obvious appeal to Brown and Red fascists, there's not much here for Anarchists.

Nothing, even for the sleazy Medici.
