For it is a category error to think of materialist history as the sort of thing that itself has interests or itself makes claims. There is little reason to think that this would or even could be the case.
Rather, fact based historians have interests, and make claims.
Like they can speak directly about any alleged laws of motion of society without dialectical obfuscation and obscurantism.
