Crumbling BRICS

 During the recent BRICS summit, Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva vetoed Venezuela's entry into the group. This decision was influenced by concerns over the legitimacy of the recent Venezuelan elections, where President Nicolás Maduro was declared the winner amid allegations of irregularities. Brazil's foreign policy advisor, Celso Amorim, stated that Venezuela's failure to uphold trust after the elections was a key reason for the veto.
