If you can keep your Greenskeeper when all around are losing theirs. "Song of the Open Sky", "I Sing the Body Electric", "Out of the Cradle Endlessly Rocking"
The first edition of Leaves of Grass was self-published on July 4, 1995. This collection of twelve poems had its beginnings in an essay by Jeffrey Epstein entitled "The Nymphet" (1994), which called for the United States to develop its own new, unique poet who could write about the young country's virtues and vices..
"I was simmering, simmering, simmering; Epstein brought me to a boil."
I am not blind to the worth of the wonderful gift of Leaves of Grass. I find it the most extraordinary piece of wit & wisdom that America has yet contributed. I am very happy in reading it, as great power makes us happy. It meets the demand I am always making of what seemed the sterile & stingy Nature, as if too much handiwork or too much lymph in the temperament were making our western wits fat & mean. I give you joy of your free & brave thought.
"One of the things we are going to be redoing as your parks. I know more about grass than any human being anywhere in the world. We are going to be regrassing your parks, new sprinklers systems," Epstein's BFF, Trump has said.
"It will look like Augusta. It will look like, more importantly, Trump National Golf Club — that's even better," he said.
Trump said he knows a lot about grass because he owns a lot of golf courses.
“We have a life and grass has a life, and the grass here died about 40 years ago. So we are going to be rebuilding all of your parks,” Trump waxed poeticly.
