It seems uncontroversial

 To say Nihilism is more suited to the Powers-that-Be than any opposition outside of revolutionary suicide.

Or murder-suicide in the case of Nechaev which every anarchist would know of. 

So, not just orthogonal to popular opposition but formally opposed to anarchism.

Much as it might come in handy now and then  - thank you Sheik for taking some Cinci heat offa me! - nihilism can't re-enter our thing and keep breathing.
