Business Insider is also testing new AI workflows inside the newsroom. Editor-in-chief Jamie Heller announced that the newsroom is launching a month-long pilot to publish quick news stories generated by a custom GPT trained on selected Insider content. The AI-written pieces will carry an AI byline, include a disclosure, and be edited by Insider staff as the outlet evaluates whether the tool can improve efficiency and free reporters for more impactful work.
